Disclaimer
The FTC says I have to have a disclaimer so you will know if I got any compensation for a post. If someone (corporations are people too, you know) is foolish enough to offer me something on the condition I mention them, I will tag the post compensated_plug.
If, on the other hand, someone offers something I find to be of value, whether it be a discussion forum, mailing list, or a used bilge plug, but does not ask to be mentioned, I may tag that post or link with free_plug, since I was given a free bilge plug the other day.
I will also note: If it sounds at any time like I know what I am doing, that is just an illusion. Any modifications, repairs, or procedures I may mention are probably unwise and/or otherwise risky. Don't try this at home; you are responsible for what you do; emulating what you see here would be foolish on your part. Always seek the advice of a responsible adult - there aren't any here.
Ours is a mixed marriage. You’re Linux, I’m Windows. You’re Word Press, I’m Blogger. You’re…well…Welcome to the Blogosphere, where comments are king. No wait, content is king. Well, comments are pretty good too.
Welcome to blogging. I know you’ll have a good teacher.
WP isn’t as easy as Blogger regarding comments. As you can see, I have to leave my comment via my twitter account rather than my site. This is because I’m an unofficial WP member. I got in when they would let anyone join:~) Now, of course, I’m there, but my password doesn’t give access to leaving a comment at your site. You might want to include Google, if you can.
My words of advice — Keep the content going, answer comments (some people will subscribe to get your replies), go VISIT anyone who comes to your site, but most of all…have FUN:~)
BTW I love the header….the cat from outer space:~)
Oops, sorry about the comments. Because I didn’t have a blog, I have always commented anonymously and signed my name, or just filled in my details the one time here on WordPress and never thought about the other options for identifying oneself. I’ll see if I can figure out how to add more options. I follow one blog where you must use OpenID to comment – maybe I can add that as an option, if I can’t add Google. This marks my first tentative step into blogging daylight – there are bound to be some bumps, bruises, and skinned knees along the way. I hope it’s not too painful for my readers.
I love that picture of Sophie. It seems that I should have a picture of some repair operation going on, but I just like that picture. Thanks for commenting!
update: I just tried to post this comment without logging in, and WordPress is complaining that the email address belongs to an account I’m not logged into, so I guess now I have to log in to be able to comment with that email address. Hmm – I definitely have to work on that.

Ha! My first comment on my own blog is held in moderation for me to approve. Makes sense, sorta, kinda…
Why blog? Cause I can’t sing or dance.
Have you tried line dancing? I find it’s much less embarrassing; it’s already choreographed and I don’t have to make up my own moves. You just need a way to do a 180 when you end up facing the wrong way…
I would try it if I could find somebody with patience and steel toed dance shoes to teach me.
